Weber Genesis II E-310 Review

Weber’s Genesis series features the GS4 high performance grilling system. This system sets the Weber Genesis grill apart from other grills. Weber has been making grills for over 30 years and understands the needs of the grilling community very well. Every component of the GS4 system is designed to make it easy to use and to also provide consistent satisfaction for your grilling. These burners will ignite every time and they cook foods that are infused with smoke to be delicious and consistent no matter what food you’re cooking.

This grill emphasizes easy cleanup. A grease management system removes cooking grease and reduces the possibility of dangerous flare-ups. Drippings are vaporized by the flavorizer bars so that more taste makes it back into your food and whatever is not vaporized is funneled away from the burners into a disposable drip tray. This disposable tray eliminates the unpleasant task of washing a drip tray. Simply remove the catch pan and replace the drip tray whenever you need to for easy use and clean up.

Flavorizer bars are angled to catch drippings and cause them to smoke and sizzle, giving your food an irresistible smoky flavor without risking flare-ups.

Extremely high performance burners are uniquely tapered to give consistent gas flow all the way from the front of the grill to the back. This means that you will have even heat distribution for foods that are cooked evenly and consistently no matter where you put them on the grate. The Infiniti ignition system will ignite every time, guaranteed.

This Genesis is designed with the chef in mind. Every aspect of the grill has been maximized to be the most useful and provide the most storage space possible for you. An open cart design looks sleek and makes it easy for you to store and access a range of grilling tools under the grill. For even more convenience, the side tables provide plenty of room for you to set your various accessories and sauces while you cook. Integrated tool hooks make it easy to access and organize your grilling tools and makes it possible for you to keep them at hand without getting your grill or side tables messy.

The warming rack of the Weber Genesis has a tuckaway design so that you can fold it down when not in use, providing optimal grilling space. The option of being able to flip down the warming tray when needed can be very convenient as you can use the maximum space on the grill grate to cook your food and then put down the warming tray when it’s time to keep the items that are done warm while the rest of your food cooks.

Genesis grills are iGrill 3 ready. The iGrill 3 digital Bluetooth thermometer gives you complete control over your grilling experience. You will be able to monitor the temperature of your food from the beginning of your cook to the end. You can see the real time temperature at any time, as well as the level of your fuel tank, all on your mobile device via the iGrill app.

Since this thermometer and grill have been designed to work together by Weber you can feel confident that they will work well together and provide quality results. Up to four temperature probes can be inserted into your meat so that you will be able to see the different temperatures of various meats at any time.

The cooking grates of the Genesis E-310 are porcelain enameled cast-iron that resists even the most cooked on messes for effortless clean up. These grates are reversible so that you can grill delicate foods like shrimp and fish on the thinner side of the grate and use the wider side for a thick and inviting sear mark on your burgers or steaks.

The Weber E310 has three stainless steel burners. If you are looking for a Weber Genesis II 2 burner you can get the Weber Genesis II S-210, which has the features of the rest of the Genesis system but is small enough to fit on a small patio or balcony. For a Weber Genesis II 4 burner you will pay a little more for the impressive Weber Genesis II E-410. If your grilling dreams are at the professional level or you enjoy cooking for very large parties, you can consider the Weber Genesis II 6 burner, which delivers a whopping 60,000 BTU-per-hour.

Weber Genesis II S-310 Review

The Weber Genesis II S-310 has most of the same features as the Weber Genesis II E-310, including the GS4 high performance grilling system, infinity ignition, uniquely tapered burner tubes, and a grease management system that features flavorizer bars to give your food a smoky taste despite being cooked on a propane fire.

This Weber Genesis also has convenient features for the griller like an open cart design that makes more room for storage, integrated tool hooks on pull out side tables, and a warming rack that is tucked away when you don’t need it.

This Grill is also iGrill 3 ready so that you can know the exact temperature of your food throughout the cook.
Where the S-310 differs from the E-310 is in looks and price. The S-310 is made of stainless steel inside and out for a classy modern look that will dress up your backyard cooking experience.

The cooking grates are stainless steel as well, which looks good and resist sticking but may not be as resistant to stuck on messes as the porcelain enameled cast iron grates of the E-310. The stainless steel lid may also not hold heat in quite as well as the porcelain enameled lid of the E-310.

The S-310 costs about $100 more for its increased good looks and potentially increased durability. If a stainless steel grill is important to you, the additional $100 will be worth it to you for the good looks of this grill.
